What is a unilevel MLM plan?
A unilevel MLM plan lets each member sponsor any number of people directly on their first level, and pays commission as a percentage of the sales volume on each level down to a fixed depth. It is the simplest structure to explain and to audit, because every commission traces to one sponsor line and one percentage.

A worked example
A plan paying 10% on level 1, 5% on level 2 and 2% on level 3. The figures are illustrative.
- The member has 5 people on level 1 with ₹20,000 in sales between them. 10% of ₹20,000 is ₹2,000.
- Level 2 has ₹60,000 in sales. 5% of ₹60,000 is ₹3,000.
- Level 3 has ₹1,50,000 in sales. 2% of ₹1,50,000 is ₹3,000.
- The commission for the cycle is ₹2,000 + ₹3,000 + ₹3,000 = ₹8,000.
If someone on level 2 had missed their monthly qualification, compression would move the active members beneath them up a level, so their volume is paid at the level 2 rate instead of the level 3 rate.

Unilevel MLM Plan questions
Compression skips members who did not qualify in a period, for example by missing a personal volume target. The active members below them move up a level for commission purposes, so the upline is paid on that volume at the higher level's rate instead of losing it.
The depth is set by the plan. Many pay between five and ten levels, often with deeper levels unlocked by rank or by a personal volume requirement.
It is the easiest structure to explain to members and the easiest to audit. The trade-off is that there is little spillover, so a member's income depends mostly on the people they sponsor and the people those members sponsor in turn.
Yes. Unilevel plans are often combined with fast-start bonuses on new sponsors, rank advancement rewards and repurchase income on product orders. Each bonus is a separate rule the plan document needs to define.
